PHOTO EDITING

I OFFICIALLY HAVE PHOTOSHOP CS5!:)
I THINK ANY PHOTO EDITING PROGRAM IS GREAT...I COULD BE HAPPY WITH ANY VERSION OF PHOTOSHOP.

WHAT I USUALLY DO WHEN I FEEL LIKE EXPERIMENTING WITH NEW TOOLS OR EVEN BROWSING THROUGH MY FOLDERS OF OLD PHOTOGRAPHS...IS TO EDIT PHOTOS AND MAKE THEM A BIT MORE LIVELIER. OF COURSE, SINCE I DON'T HAVE THE BEST LIGHTING IN THE WORLD, EDITING IS A HUGE MUST BUT I'M NOT COMPLAINING. 

I TOOK MY NEWLY PURCHASED UMBRELLA KIT OUTSIDE AND TOOK QUICKIE SHOTS OF MY ASSISTANT PHOTOGRAPHER (& SISTER) YESENIA. SHE IS BASICALLY MY ONLY MODEL AS OF NOW BECAUSE WE LIVE TOGETHER SO SHE IS REALLY HANDY WHEN IT COMES TO TESTING MY PHOTOGRAPHY 'SKILLS' ON HER.

I TOOK ABOUT 10 PICTURES OF HER...INSIDE AND OUTSIDE OF THE HOUSE. I DECIDED TO PLAY AROUND WITH A COUPLE HEAD SHOTS AND CAME UP WITH THIS.

THE TOP ONE IS THE ORIGINAL AND THE BOTTOM ONE IS EDITED. IT MAY SEEM A BIT EXAGGERATED BUT LETS JUST SAY THE DETAIL IS WHAT COUNTS. THE EYES SEEM A LOT MORE BRIGHTER AND THE SKIN IS EVEN TONED AND THAT'S SOMETHING MOST PEOPLE LIKE TO SEE IN THEIR IMAGES. ALSO THE LITTLE DETAILS ARE SHARPENED AND BROUGHT INTO FOCUS.

I ordered my items from Ebay :)

I've been ordering a lot of my photography equipment from Ebay and I have been more than satisfied. It usually takes me like...3 hours to do extensive research on the things I want to purchase because I have bought items and have been dissapointed in the condition they come in or just the fact that they work for one day and not the next.

This time, I bought an item by the name of : Photography Umbrella Light Lighting Bulb kit LV34
It was roughly $60.00 and I've had it for just one day and I'm already in love. It didn't come with light bulbs but it came with everything it said it would. The umbrellas are of PERFECT size and the stands as well. Very easy to set up. Even my sister was super excited. Heres the link to what I purchased:

THE UMBRELLAS LOOK HUGE, BECAUSE MY ROOM IS SMALL...BUT I WILL BE BUILDING A STUDIO SOMEWHERE IN THE HOUSE:)





I CAN'T WAIT TO START USING THEM ON A CONTINUOUS BASIS...SO MUCH FUN.

Snow fell in Orland,CA it has been almost 9 years since it last fell.

It only lasted for a few hours and melted by morning. It snowed at 3am, of January 1st, 2011. What a way to open the New Year!:)
