MY TOP PHOTOGRAPHS OF 2010 (and some of earlier years)

BEST WEDDING SHOT
This was actually taken November 28th of 2009. Ramons' mom, said her son and wife to be were like models. And she was right! They were super easy to work with and knew exactly how to pose. Many photographers would kill to have people like these two! They were also very photogenic which made the photo shoot enjoyable.

BEST KID SHOT
This is my nephew, Damien. He is 7 years old but looks so much younger. He has a very lively personality and so when I asked him to make a scary face, this is what he did.

BEST BAND PROMO SHOT
Every Hand Betrayed from Orland,CA. The shot was taken in Artois, CA in a swamp looking location. The sun reflected off the water and gave me something to bounce light off of. It served to make the image looking eerie and most importantly, of the METAL genre.

BEST PET SHOT
Almost everyone knows that I have a puppy named Brownie. I am very patient when it comes to photographing animals. She knows when I have to take photos of her so she just watches me closely. Here..she was yawning so the only thing she moved was her little mouth.

BEST FASHION SHOT
Makeup and hair was done by Vanessa Miccio. Model: Yesenia Godinez.
The reason I chose this shot is because of the cleanness of the makeup and because of the detail I caught here. Everything was sharp and very detailed.

BEST MACRO SHOT
It took me a while to get this shot. The bee kept leaving and coming back. I had to lay down on my stomach and I used my fisheye/macro lens to be able to get closer without actually getting right on the bee. I later opened the image in photoshop and played around with sharpness. I wanted the wings to be very detailed.

BEST ABSTRACT SHOT
This was actually not taken in 2010, but I loved the simplicity of the little decorations and the shadows they cast on the wall. It almost looks edited and as I put them there on purpose...but those caught my eye when I went into my backyard. I especially loved the shadows.

BEST LOCATION SHOT
On hwy 99 in Orland. The colors basically made this shot. I love bright, neon-ish colors. And the contrast of the blue sky withe the washed out building made the graffiti stand out even more
